I went to an event, cartridge carriers filled with 75 drill/inert rounds in chargers each side plus a filled bandolier. The rest on the P 08 was also packed correctly the best I could. Yes, I've seen them on the four legged........tripod but with a bowl in the canvasy bit to hold the water. Maybe just a local use rather then intended use. No matter.

Dragging up an old thread. I always thought these were a canvas holder to put a metal basin in rather than use the canvas to hold water.
