tart cases..casings

hmmm ok so I am curious to know if tart cases or flan cases were available mid-late 15th cent have looked on't interweb but not seen anything a few recipies say use tart cases but if i want to do some auth-style tarts for table what would you guys suggest?

it is all hemmed apart from the bottom so I am a bit worried about the neckline and hope it will look better with the chemise and a different bra.. thanks for the comments though it really has been 30 odd years since i sewed anything other than a button

thanks guys... i am not sure myself now after research..but also after Cats comments might find it hard to get anyone to actually eat it lol..I'm all for trying something new though so if I can find some I might give it a go

well it woud be for me so a woman.. a square or round neck not too high would be good.. nothing overly fancy as I am not that high status it would be nice to have something to show off the belt with.. not too long sleeves either :-)

Forgive my ignorance but could you post pictures of the type of head wear you mentioned.. I do like the wimple (not that I have aspirations to be a nun!!LOL) I think it is feminine and hides my double chin!!

to veil or not to veil

I could try that.. I do have problems with my hair though its now quite thin on top and I do eveything to hide that fact inclding wigs and clip in dreads.. although in the heat of the summer even human hair wigs can get hot.. I might buy both and try with the dress see which suits.. then a new belt ...
