Well purely as a newcomer to all this..... I looked at the EMA advert for Caldicot and assumed it would be a mix of periods so was not disappointed. I enjoyed looking through Richard's photos and a shame the thread ended up as it did.

Just checked ( lol) my new cheque book and there is no mention of not using a card. Thats RBS. I was in my branch last week and mentioned the planned phasing out of cheques and was told that it had been put back to 2015 because of problems with traders etc. May be it differs from bank to bank?

Some pretty impressive crests! Out of interest, what are they made of? Fabric and feathers yes but the rest carved out of wood? I would have thought that weight would be a consideration!
