TBH if I was in the same position I would look into food trading, a trailer or van selling hot food and drinks.A few hoops to go through to do it, but then you can trade at other places as well.

Has trading spoiled your reenacting?

Just something I have been thinking about lately. Has becoming a trader impacted on your enjoyment of being a reenactor? Has it just become a job rather than a hobby, or do you still find time to do both?

I should think Gary of Derbyshire Arms could supply pyrites. I had the chance to fire a wheel lock a few months ago.It wasn't very reliable!

Does anyone know the markings that would be on a 1lb lead weight of the ECW period in England?
Any hints of a trader that might do them?

My local FEO in Warwickshire said it was quote 'bloody silly' to cut holes in the top of a cabinet for a long gun.

Hi Cloudy,I live in Warwickshire,near Stratford upon Avon,and the local firearms bod is happy with me having two muskets in the loft using the clamps in the above link.
Check first though in case yours is different.

£20 - rough n ready - black painted or bare metal.
£30 - sweet n neat - heat blackened authy finish and less hammer marks etc.
