Re: Plantagenet Reproductions scaling down.

Just a quick note to all those to whom i have already spoken to and to some i have not got round to. It is with regret that we have to inform you thet Plantagent Reproductions will be scaling down operations commencing 2012. Re: How Rude!!!

I have also been asked how i get a certain feature on my Ironwork and how i make the Powder Flasks and have no problem in telling people if they ask in a polite manner, most if not all do ask in a polite manner. I think the title of the thread is How Rude and how some people can be. In my example i ...

Re: How Rude!!!

A couple of times i have had to bite my lip. A middle 20s lady was on the stall and then she took out her phone and started photographing some of my stock wrought ironwork. I asked if i could help, no she replied my boyfriend is into metalwork and he could make her some of these! One very sore bitte...

Re: 're-enactor only' trading pitches?

Sally As it is the SK then they have advantages and disadvantages. Fisrtly the pitch fee is very reasonable around £50 for the YEAR, that is as many events that allow traders to attend and that can be quite a lot. Trading times are not restricted ie open when you get up, trade till just after lunch,...

Re: B&Bs for the new ILHF location

Try the Plough at Wigston, about 7 miles away. £130 for bed and breakfast with en suite.

We tried Farmstay but they came up with nothing. hopefully we will be able to caravan on site in the future.

Re: chip and pin

Try taking battery out and replacing, did that last year on mine and it reset itself, otherwise reset in side the machine (should be a button somewhere). Or take out sim card and replace. All these have been tried by me and worked. Dont worry too much i had a massive problem this year 2 months of tr...

Re: Lincoln Xmas Market

Parking should be in the pub car park a short distance from the Bishop's Palace. Hopefully, there won't be any parking in front of the palace this year. It spoilt the whole look of the event. Totally agree we only had the van round the side on late sunday after the event had shut! I also agree we n...

Re: Lincoln Xmas Market

Hi Martin, will be more than happy to contribute extra cash for some one to `call` the people in from the main market. It worked last year and as said before the best market we have ever done. Heres hoping this year is as good. Been making stuff for a month now and i have 4 markets before it, bloody...

Re: Anyone trading at the Bishops Palace in December

No martin i didnt think you were having a go, i was just giving my experience of the markets i have attended and how i see it. Chas had had a right go at him from another `historic` trader from the public side last year and i thought he needed the support. i was also trying to give the picture of th...

Re: Anyone trading at the Bishops Palace in December

Let me give you some of my thoughts on this topic. As a trader who has traded on both the public side of the market and the medieval side i think i have a little experience. 1 The Lincoln Christmas Market is well publicised and well attended and estimated 100000 visitors a year, i know people who ta...

I suppose if you want the flexibilty of payments at home or out in the field, then the gprs chip and pin machine has that. I pay about 2% for transactions on credit and about 39p for debit. I pay about £79 a quarter rental.
