Can anyone tell me if ladies in the 13th Century wore separate hoods for cloaks as in not attached to the cloak. I've been asked by 1 of our members and have looked it up but cant seem to find anything....

Re: 13th Century food & cooking
Thanks for the replies and the websites. The problem I have always found is that when you I put 13th century food into a search bar doesnt come up with much but when I put medieval food there is a lot after our period, very frustrating

Hi All,
I am wondering if anyone could tell me if they would have had or used grey cloth in the 13th Century. I'm wanting to know for our living history display. Its for a servants/serf camp cook.
Many Thanks

Re: Public liability insurance
Hi Fox & Colin, We are with The Insurance Partnership at the moment and have been for a few years i just thought they were getting expensive. I did enquire about property cover last year and the price John Huges quoted me was to be honest rediculous. Ours is up for renewal at the end of this month a...

Re: Cauldron to cook in
Laffin Jon, i agree that a lot of the materials are wrong and afterall a lot of groups use fireboxes which are not correct for the period either. Fox pottery is good and can be cheap but i think it would work out expensive in our group cos they are a clumsy lot :) I would love to have a 100% authent...
