News of Change of Dates for NLHF

This is the text of the e-mail I have this morning sent out to NLHF Traders. Hi I’m afraid I have some bad news. Due to a complete mix-up not of my making, we can’t stage the March NLHF at Onley Grounds, and despite making considerable efforts to find an alternative venue which could accommodate our...

Onley Grounds Equestrian Centre, just 9 miles down the main A45 / M45 / A45 from the Sports Connexion. To give an idea of the scale of the current "Big Arena" at 3,080 square metres, I have over the years come to regard a decent "rule of thumb" for assessing numbers of stand in a...

Re: NHLF Reborn

I have decided that there will be NO ADMISSION charge. This is not just for November, or just for this year, or just until we are really busy – this is for EVER, no admission charge. After all, folk don’t pay to get into the Metrocentre or Bluewater, and if they have more money in their pockets they...

Yes, but set at £3 for adults only, children free of charge, and the ticket is good for both days, i.e., you only need pay once no matter how many times you visit. And you can pre-book camping at just £5 per adult per night (children free). Trollsbottom Beer Tent with the usual high standard of beer...

Not yet sure, waiting for TORM to announce their November dates - but Princethorpe are happy to wait on confirmation, they will try and do any weekend we need it to be, very co-operative indeed.

NHLF Reborn

I have found a lovely venue to stage a re-enactors’ market just 2.8 miles from TORM, and I plan to run it on the same weekend as TORM starting in November 2012. (Before anyone starts re-enacting the market wars of 2003, read all of the attached, and consider the numbers – there are 170 plus UK-based...

Then you are not actually delivering "Hot Meals", and I agree it would not be an issue any more than dropping off supplies from Tesco - but your initial posting might have been a bit clearer

Look forward to seeing the menu!

Re: Hot Meal Delivery ?

Hi, I can see this becoming a bit of an issue if you plan to do it at events where there are caterers who either have sole rights (as at WEC) or who have paid substantially more for a catering pitch than historic traders are generally asked to pay. From their point of view, you would be taking busin...

Re: Anyone trading at the Bishops Palace in December

"the Medieval Market at the Bishops Palace, although an event run by EH" Pardon the simple question, but if this is an EH event for which they are (presumably) charging you traders top-quid, why on earth are they not promoting and advertising it, why is it that you are having to do this? S...
