ECW Re-enactor needed

A friend who works at a school near Shrewsbury is looking for a re-enactor to do a short presentation on ECW kit and weapons. There is a small budget available.

If anyone is local and fancies it, please let me know and I'll put you in touch.

Thanks

New tricorn hat - stretch??

Hi all

I've had a new hat delivered today from a supplier in the US. Although really well made, its slightly tight. I'd originally ordered it to be a couple of inches bigger to cater for a wig.

Does anyone know of a way I might be able to stretch it a little bigger without ruining it?

Thanks

The Cavalry

The Cavalry are a group of mounted historical re-enactors who work together to portray a range of different impressions. We currently have three main impresssions - Cobhams 10th Dragoons 1745, The 11th Hussars 1854 and the 2nd Massachusetts 1862. We are a small unit of about 20 members but are all c...

Re: Fitzjames Horse for Lace Wars

Thanks for that Andy Davids helping me with this project. Its a nice pic from Embleton, I think I'll be able to get a fairly decent coat pattern from the few pics I have. I understand theres an original sword at the armouries from Fitzjames. I was thinking of commissioning armourclass to make me one...

Fitzjames Horse for Lace Wars

I'm getting some kit together for Fitzjames Horse, Irish units in French service who reinforced the Jacobites in the 45' Campaign. I'm doing some research on the coats, cuirass, horse furniture and swords etc...with the hope I will be able to get something together for next season. If anyone has any...

Napoleonic Headware

Can anyone recommend a decent UK supplier of a Napoleonic period Royal Marine Officers Hat or Infantry officers Shako?

Are there any UK groups out there who portray the Royal Marines?

Cheers
