Attendance at Evesham

I have heard a rather alarming slander being passed around about the attendance of Les Miles des Marches at Evesham. It has been reported to me that rumour is being spread that Les Miles des Marches had let Conquest down at the last minute by not bringing the 20 knights promised to Nigel Walton. I m...

For Sale:Sopranino Shawm

I bought this shawm some while ago but find I do not have the puff to play it anymore and it has not been used much . I have been told it is a sopranino shawm in F. Made by Eric Moulder, it comes with a velvet storage bag and reed. It is in excellent condition. Collection is best I would hate it to ...

Shrewsbury Heraldry.... help needed

Shrewsbury Borough Council's seal of 1425 shows 3 Arms hanging from the town walls; Royal Arms, Town Arms of 3 Loggerheads, and another, which I describe as, 2 attires of a buck with scalp attached, in pale, overall a cross.' Needless to say there are no colours described. Help needed. I've trawled ...

Sourcing glave heads or early bills

Looking for blunt re-enactment standard glave or early bill heads to supply several soldiers in the group. Have seen GDFB glave but need one without the shaft protectors so it can be used for earlier dateline too. Also, have bought 2J's early bill but is far too sharp for combat. Have seen very expe...

public music license

Can any one help with this one?
We've just got our own PA and want to play music during our shows. Is it necessary to have Public Perormers License?
Does anyone else have a license? If so, from where and how much?

Women combat archers?

I would imagine this subject has been thrashed out many times before.... can anyone advise on the subject of women archers, dressed as women, on the battleline, in 1400s. I've been shown a picture from the Fed showing just this and some of my women members are now quoting this as normal practice. I'...
