Errr... Ours stayed at home, we were just hardly more than visitors in costumes. And not even that all the time, I sometimes grabbed my camera. If you mean the headless polearms - it looks silly, I know. Safety precaution + financial crisis measures? But live from close up it look kind of ...

Museums on a Summer night 2008 in Slovenia

Our group Druščina Zlate Ostroge (Fellowship of the Golden Spur) has attended an event Museums on a Summer night 2008 (June 21) in Slovenia. We "performed" at our National Museum in Ljubljana, so 10 of us showed to the public this program: Middle Ages for all generations; ninepins, demonstration of ...

I know it's a bit off topic... Cat, Slovene re-enactment started only 12 years ago. Although we have hundreds of castles (or ruins of them), our first medieval event happened on June 24. 1995. Since then medieval groups are on the increase, almost every town with medieval history has now it's mediev...

Hello all! My first post, I know I have nothing to do with the Living History in the UK, but since I'm lurking here for quite some time and reading all the great topic (together with utter nonsense)... And I might visit you in a not yet defined future. Since Slovenia is just an Easyjet or Ryanair ti...
