Dont use Thompsons waterseal, They changed the makeup of the product a while ago.. Use Fabsil, You cant go wrong... :D :D

Good write up there graham, We considered going this year but as you said, we were unsure of the nationalistic overtones and really the organisors didnt seem to actively try and recruit English re-enactment groups to go.. Agreed, they would use the blunt end of an axe or hammer to stun or kill the animal. I cant see them using the sharp end for this task...

If they are not helping you get your kit together maybe you have chosen the wrong group to join?.. Modern dogs that look like there medieval forebearers include, Greyhounds,Irish wolfhound,Mastiff,Hovawort,Hunting spaniel,Schnauzer and Setters which have remained relativley unchanged since the middle ages. I dare say there will be more too!. There would have been loads of crosses which to be hone...
