SELLING MY HISTORICAL BOOK STOCK
Please look on the Buy & Sell forum; I am selling my historical book stock as I am moving to a much smaller property and don't have the space or time to trade anymore. There is over 1000 pre owned history related books covering all eras and themes. I will be sad to let them go as I have enjoyed trad...

Re: Advice for a new trader
I did my first proper year of trading this year, the only advice I am able to give you is: Don't be in a rush, take your time to do a few shows, then see what you need as you go along, I stupidly didn't do this, thought I would need this, that and the other and didn't try them out first, end result ...

Re: Stall fittings for trading tents?
Hi Sally, This is my first full year of trading and like you had been looking for fittings that were appropriate for what we do, everything I looked at was either far too expensive or just not suitable for transport/weight/style etc. Sooo, with this in mind, I was chatting to a reenactor/woodworker ...

Re: Traders at delapre
No, Thanks to the organisers, as without you, us traders would not be in business, I,(Chapter & Verse) had a fabulous time, sold lots of lovely books, was able to relax a little and chat to some of the customers which is also good for business as quite often; if I don't have a particular book on the...

WHAT'S THE BEST MULTI CAR/VAN INSURANCE
Does anyone know of the best way for me to insure a van and a people carrier, the van would be used for the business, the people carrier for local/low mileage trips. I have a named driver on the business van which will be an LDV pilot. Have tried a few on line companies, but have only come with comp...

Re: Almond Milk
first port of call for anything like this is a good Oriental/Asian super market, if you can find one on the net, ring them, ask them if they have anything like what you are asking, if they haven't they can tell you the next best thing, as quite often their product would be under a different label/na...

Re: The simple dress pattern
D*mn & Blast, everything is fine except I've made the neck far to wide, big, so it's almost on the shoulder, can't take it in or put a centre seam as It will be too small, any ideas? or can I make a wimple that has the material going over the neck collar etc. and pin it to that just to keep it up?

The simple dress pattern
Well, it's in the first stages, and is looking ok, my teenage son has been graceful and forgiving, every time I ask him to put it on to see how it looks, the cat has taken to sleeping on the off cuts, the pattern is amazingly simple (even for me), I haven't needed to use the Duck tape, glue of stapl...

You might find it easier to look for NUX INDICA (INDIAN NUT), I think this is what it was called before the 13th cent. may be wrong though

CHAPTER & VERSE, PRE OWNED BOOKS
If you are looking for a certain book,I may not have it in stock but may be able to get it/ source it via other book dealers/sellers in my area. Plus, I may be able to get it a bit cheaper, can't always promise to deliver, but will try. And don't forget, I also trade/buy used books at events.

Try this book, it's fab. Iron and Brass Implements of the English House
by J. Seymour Lindsay (Author) . Might be a bit late for you but gives lots of earlier references also.

In England in the 1468 - 9 Brewers Book of Norwich, the name for barm was goddisgoode because it was made by the blessing of God. In the absence of understanding, God was invoked as the great provider.

Re: VAN TRANSPORT SHARING FOR EUROPEAN SHOWS
Hi, I am having to take driving lessons (again) as I talked myself into a driving phobia and didn't drive for several years, passed my test some 13years ago after nearly two hundred lessons. I started trading last year and my ex. did the driving, so, with this in mind, if I were to buy a van, is the...
