No wonder the British soldiers had a downer on Jacobites. Whisked away to set up camp in the wilds of Scotland, in January, while their allies in europe are tucked up nice and warm in winter quarters.

I would take issue with a couple of points such as the decay of the bodies after three days prior to burial would have meant that identification would have been difficult, when in fact it is known that some of the injured survived the on field for along time due to the cold weather. It was good to hear someone comment on the poor treatment that the government graves have received, but I suspect it's no worse than many other battlefield graves from the period.

Just found out Staffordshire Police are taking approx 8 weeks to process firearms certificates


Believe me, 8 weeks isn't bad for a first application. Does that include the powder licence ?
