Re: NMTF Historic Traders Branch AGM 2014

Members' invitations should have arrived, time confirmed as 5.30pm, however this is before the close of trade, so I suspect it is wrong, the same as the letter saying the meeting is in the 'Battle Meadow'.

Hello all, NMTF Historic Traders Branch AGM will be held at the Tewkesbury Medieval Festival on Saturday 12th of July, after the end of trading. Letters have been posted out to all members. Don't know then time yet, I'm guessing 6.30pm. Our thanks in advance and Annie and Andreas Doebereiner (A Piec...

Postal rate increase

For those who do mail order, Royal Mail have (again) raised their parcel prices, and have also introduced size limits too, which means a light but bulky parcel can cost a whole lot more from now on. One of our more popular mail order items has gone up from £3.15 to £3.70 for 2nd class recorded. One ...

Re: Winter weather

Re snow chains, I would have thought they would work our cheaper in the long run as you only have to buy them once Chains start for less than £40 delivered on ebay, and they aren't just for winter, they are a godsend at places like Hastings. Cat litter and carpet will only get you as far as how muc...

Re: Battle of Bosworth 2011

Are there any galleries from the Zombie vs Nerf battle online? I understand there are pictures of Melanie and myself floating round somewhere and it would be nice to see them.

Re: Historic Traders AGM

I won't be at Berkeley. I thought Tewkes was the largest gathering of traders. It's the largest gathering of medieval traders as far as I know, but this isn't reflected in the number of people who actually attend the meeting. I doubt there was 20 traders at the last AGM, and Berkeley doesn't have t...

Is the Fair to be held in the castle and will traders be allowed to sleep in their tents? If so then please let us know more.

Lanark - Prowler Woes

Once again there have been unwelcome visitors in show trading areas, this time around the small arena at Lanark. On Saturday night at about 11pm somebody decided to take a peek into our tent. Luckily I was just the other side of the canvas so saw the walls being parted and for what ever reason this ...

Re: REMINDER - NMTF Historic Traders Branch AGM

Tewkesbury is probably the show with the most historical traders and as most will not even travel a few hundred meters to the AGM I cannot see many traveling a few hundred miles just for the AGM. Perhaps the meeting could be held at a later time, or maybe even on Sunday morning. There is always odd...

Easter trading?

Does anyone know of any trading opportunities this Easter or the week after? We already know about West Stowe and Cosmeston but for varying reasons we won't be at either.

I have read somewhere that many sites will not allow petrol generators, only diesel for safety reasons. There's no rule as such that I know of, each event seems to have their own idea, some will only allow diesel, some will only allow LPG (converted from petrol), some change their mind from year to...

Medieval / Mittelalter CD's

Hi all, Melanie and I now stock a range of medieval / mittelalter CD's. We have Miroque compilations and Schelmish CD's in stock, and can get hold of a whole lot more to order. The range will be expanding over the summer. If you've enjoyed Schelmish there are a many more bands out there with a simil...
