Re: Rawhide

I used to do the same, go to any pet shop and buy the largest raw hide knotted bone they do, soak in warm water for a few hours then undo it and cut in to strips. It does go a bit mushy but will dry out hard again.

Re: Piercings throughout history.

I have a couple of facial piercings and multiple in my ears, I remove them for all truly authentic shows or for a couple I can't I cover with my head covering without argument, they just wouldn't have had them. I have others the public can't see and have been fighting with them in place for years wi...

Re: Medieval bed

It will have a cover on it so no one will know what type of mattress it is and I'm not planning on inviting the public in to sit on my bed anyway, the bed is purely for my comfort as with a bad back getting up off a low bed in the mornings isn't easy! Re: Medieval bed

I hadn't considered a straw mattress, and to be honest probably wouldn't go down that route as I wouldn't have space to carry a bale of straw to every show. Tesco had some mattresses a little while ago that come rolled up in a bag so may have a look at them.

Re: Medieval bed

Thanks everyone, am passing it all on to my dad, just got to decide how big and if I'm gonna use an airbed on it or look at other mattress options.

Medieval bed

Hi all,
My dad has agreed to have a go at making me a medieval bed but I'm struggling to find any clear pictures or find any plans to give him to work from. Can anyone help?

Re: silly question

Sadly the big event at Tintagel is no more.
Gutted as it means no more body boarding after the show in torrential rain!

Wanted, medieval tunic x2

I'm really bad at sewing so don't want to risk ending up topless in the middle of a battle if I try and make my own so if anyone's got any to sell please get in touch.
