im fairly sure that knitting wasnt around in the 15th century, but rather much later - needlebinding was however around much earlier so it would likely be the safer way to go - if you want to make sure, it is authentic.

hmm you could be spot on, so basicly i mix a normal doublet, with a dress and im close to that :)

guess i gotta dig up my old doublet pattern then :)

Hello all i am currently finding myself in need of a pattern for a cotehardie / gown, i havnt really been able to find one anywhere, and i do not currently have acces to the tailors assistant, so i figured i would ask here, if anybody know of any digitalized patterns, that would be useable. as noted...

well immediately, i would guess, that joints are rather "tender/a prime target" so protecting these areas when ever possible would likely be a good idea. im not too much into archery, but i would guess that elbow armour would be in the way - and full leg armour wouldnt be a) a good solutio...
