Re: WLTB Kassai / Grozer Magyar bow
Sorry - haven't got one to sell but a word of advise ..... if you are used to archery and in particular 35lb draw weight you might find that a horse bow of that poundage will feel 'light' to draw. it might be worth your while re-listing with a spread of say 35lb - 50lb with the option to try out bef...

Recommendations for Insurance Cover
In the process of scoping out administration for a new group and have tried to look on line at Public Liability Insurance for reenactors and wondered if anyone can gives us a ball park figure for the cost of cover for a group of 10 -15 part-taking in mixed activities. Any pointers and or pitfalls to...

Without known your specific geographical location I would get in touch with either 'THE FREEMEN OF GWENT' (1350 -1420) or B.O.A.R.S (Brotherhood Of Aman Reenactment Society) ..... both on Facebook which also is a good locator of local groups.

Archery and paricipation at events
THIS IS ALSO POSTED IN THE 1100 - 1500 'Period' folder Following discussions with people who are hoping to forming a new group - we have a query about including archery into an event. We are presuming that the 'Public Liability' insurance would cover the general demonstrating of archery skills but c...

Just had another thought - also have a look at white 'travel socks' most of which are cotton rich but you need to see the health warning! IMPORTANT Before using compression socks, seek medical advice if you have previously suffered from venous or arterial disease, or if you have suffered from diabet...

Re: Wanted; white knee socks.
It all depends on how authentic you want to be - pure wool or cotton will be hard to find unless you can source an outfitter for Court Judges! However if you don't mind a cotton / polyester or similar mix try a Google search - 'LONG KNEE LENGTH WHITE COTTON SOCKS' and you will find various suppliers...

Apologies for a late response to your query - just new to the forum! The best / easiest way to answer your question is to look for place names which include the word 'Temple' - e.g. Temple Sowerby and Google search the history or look locations up on History on Line (http://www.british-history.ac.uk...

MUSTER CALL ...... for like minded re-enactors to form a new group covering the 12th - 14th Century and in particular the involvement of 'northerners' in the Scottish Wars and the 100 Year War period. As well as the Neville's and Percy's there is a wealth of other historical connections to places an...

Re: Looking for re-enactment groups (NE England)
Hello,
I realise it's been a while since you posted your query. I have just moved into the Tyne Valley and like you are looking for a local group with a preference towards the 100 Year War period. Have you got sorted with a group or are you still looking?
