I've always had a love of history but my last job meant I tended to move around a lot, making committing to a group problematic. You did not give a time limit during which you were looking for the events but off the top of my head, big events in the UK would likely include: The Tewkesbury Medieval Festival and Battle re-enactment - attracts thousands of participants from all over Europe and is likely to take place around 8/9 ...
