My little brother!

Just had to share this picture of my brother with everyone... Mainly because I'm so proud of him, he's only joined our group recently, as a drummer boy (obviously) and he's doing so well!

ooooh... forgot to say: Well.. I do napoleonic re-enactment so all the corset information is a bit shady when it comes to lower class regency, but from the majority of people I've spoken to it seems acceptable to still be wearing stays.

Tbh, I'm really not that good at sewing, and keep trying to make my Dad understand thats there's a big difference between sewing on buttons and hems to making a corset. If I could sew I'd start straight away! But I seem to have picked up my Mum's sewing gene which is practically non-existant. Thanks...

Stays

Hello! Right... Im sure everyone gets really bored of these requests, but I'm so desperate now its silly. Is there ANYONE out there who would be willing to make a 18-19th century pair of stays (lower class) for a price that isn't one which makes you wince?? I've been re-enacting since I was 12 and n...

Sounds very busy! No i am keen, I suppose the novelty is just wearing off now, i still love it though. I did think about going into the ranks for a bit, but I just kept confusing the drill with modern day drill. When I joined my group there weren't many women in it so there wasnt really much of a ch...

Yea, my Dad said the officers meetings were a bit... one sided? Or something.. I enjoyed it actually, it was the first event in a long time that I was able to get a hold and do stuff properly, even though it took us so bloody long to get up there. My Brother found the coffin hilarious and wanted to ...

Yes, that would be my Dad.

Well... I just thought I should ask, as we were the last on the site and the organiser seemed very confused about this random coffin left behind.

So, overall not a great event then?

Yea, my Dad was in charge of our lot that weekend as our officer wasn't there, so you would've met him.

I know this is an odd question, but you didnt leave a coffin behind did you?

Oh well, thats Ok then, I would've been furious if it had been that bad for us.

Redcoats (coldstream guards). Oh, I only asked because someone came over to us asking the lads to do drill to get the horses used to it. Oh christ! I'd forgotten about the wood.. mind you.. i did have a constant supply of it being brought over the fence. I didn't realise you guys didnt have any wate...

It was a bit... odd... The only thing that really bugged me was the toilets and some of the people I met.. but other than that it wasnt that bad. So it wasn't the red of the redcoats that spooked it then?
