Re: Queen's Regiment 1705 to 1720

No problem! Preston was a great event!

The next event for the Queens Regiment is the Tower of London on the 26th & 27th September, guarding those Jacobite traitors taken in arms against King George!

We are a new group recreating the British Army from 1705 to 1720. Covering the war of Spanish Succession, the accession of George 1 and the 1715 Jacobite rebellion. We normally portray the Queen's Regiment (also known as Colonel Webb's). We do a lot of work with Historic Royal Palaces in London, but...

Re: 1715 Battle of Preston

Lankylad, Your right, but the whole Jacobite cause was so mis-managed I'm not sure they could have got their act together! Anyway, If you can let me know what dates the committee are looking at that would be good. We are in the middle of sorting out the year ahead, and a lot of us are in other re-en...

Hi,
As far as Government troops are concerned you have: http://queensregiment.co.uk/

Only formed last year, covering the period from 1705 to 1720. We don't have any members in your area, most of us are Midlands and southern based.
If your interested, get in touch.
Cheers,
Derek

Hi,
The place to go for ACW is: http://www.aesoc.co.uk/

The Lazy jacks is just one of a number of groups and messes who have all come together under the American Eagles. We portray both sides, east and west. we could do with more members for our mess!

cheers
Derek
