Looking at the thread i thought a couple of the more interesting etsy shops I've found might be worth posting as well. This one makes some good dresses, and if you ask for the edits of the main design such as embroidery that is straight on the dresses to be on facings instead. https://www.etsy.com/u...

Silks in the period 1066 - 1216

Hi I've been doing some research with some other members of my group into silk usage in the period 1066 - 1216 approximately. I particularly interested in secular usage rather than church usage and was wondering if anyone knew of any sources or finds of silk on clothing or even for an entire garment...
