Re: Girls, this one is for you!

I dunno if this is of any interest, but my grandmother gave me the sanitary belt that her grandmother gave her. It was a fabric belt with a simple metal webbing-buckle type fastening to go around your waist. It had another adjustable webbing belt looped over it at both ends, with the same adjustable...

Hiya, Frances!

Well, it's tomorrow, so I'm hoping it'll be worthwhile...

Glad you like the earrings - I made them just 'cos I liked the idea, and wanted something unusual! Time I made some more, really... :)

Crafters - an opportunity to sell your wares in SE London!

Heya, all I have been invited to take a stall at a craft fair in London that I thought I'd tell you about - It's organised by a chap I know called Stuart. He's still looking for more stallholders, as it's a lovely big hall. It's a good time, a while before Yule and Christmas - if you're a crafter, i...

Well, I don't actually know... I was asking on behalf of a friend, and passed all the info on, but he's kinda dropped out of sight. As & when he pops up again, I'll ask him, 'cos I'm curious too!

Mmm... quince jelly! My Nan had a bush in her garden, and we made this every year. Now there's a lady down the road from me who has a bush in her front garden, but never uses the fruit - such a shame to see them all rot...

So, what should I make for the Colchester Oyster Fayre?

Well, I finally gave in and got a stall for this year's Oyster Fayre! We had such a nice time at last year's, and made enough to make it worthwhile, so I gave in to Little Sis and confimed a booking. So, what should I make, d'ya reckon? I'll doubtless have all sorts of paganish odds & ends, but ...

Well, dumplings are easy to make, and it wouldn't surprise me to hear they've been around a very long while. To make 'em, take some flour and add half as much (by weight) grated suet (or any grated fat), a pinch of salt and a shake of pepper. Modern mixes use self-raising four, and/or a pink of baki...

Poor you! I did feel for everyone in costume - it looked just FAR TOO hot.

I was there both days, as a stallholder, selling my pyrography craftwork with my sister.

I have a really simple website ('cos I'm not really a trader, just a hobbyist) that I've written by hand, but my brother's a webmaster by trade, and will take on quite small bits of work.
Maybe he can help : http://www.slaassociates.co.uk/
