I would suggest talking to the Early Medieval Alliance they are an umbrella group that gets a faily good isnurance policy for member groups based on volume; they might be able to reduce it a bit. But apart from that what Matt said really.

Re: Black armour - right or wrong?
Having just found time to read this, can I say that I have seen extant pieces in Hochosterwitz that are still shiny and not Matt that are both bitumen and painted black and have embossed family shields; that are still worn in parades today that where made for the family militia back in teh 15th and ...

Re: How are you finding trade ?
Sorry Lucy,
Everyone was so busy trading, I didn't get to say hello to veryone I owuld have liked to anyway. And by about 3 I needed to go home as I was knackered. I did see you and Tim trading in the corner I think opposite Derbyshire Arms. But everytime I cycled past you were busy.

Langley, I don't think its fireproof, but it is not pertochmical based so definatly doesn't increase the flamibility of the Canvas. This is exactly the reason why I use it. Its more expensive than alot of other solutions but definately on the safer end.

I would put signs up at the tent clearly stating no photo's allowed. And anybody reaches for a camera to "b**ger off". If you want to make one do the bloody research, waste the material trying to get it right, and spend the bloody time doing it. I am glad I am not a trader, I'd end up knocking so to...

Re: help with brigandine nails
From the Brigs i've seen the nails are clenched on the rear without an inner layer of fabric. Seems to have worked rather well. Just a random thought, but do we think that the brigs were made without a lining, or that the plates were rivited to the front, then a separate lining added (without the n...

Geoffrey Peiters ate Iceny. Makes fantastic double lung bellows. Not the authenti tear drop type I know. Two questions
Firstly Dave,
Is it alright to come and crash at yours on the Saturday night? please.
Secondly,
Martin,
I have pulled my back and I am not going to be ableto wear armour, do you want to speak to Chas and see if this is going to be a problem.
Cheers

Eyup Badger right I have had a look at it for you and these are my points. Point One Blue, is a standard colour for hyperlinks, so that the visibility of what is a link is diminished by the choice of colour. Point Two, I don't know about anyone else, but the only colour writing on a white page is bl...
