That sounds like a good idea - I've got a training/double-weight sword at the moment, but it's a blunted weapon rather than a wooden one. Who are you commissioning, may I ask?

Re: Dead?

Sorry Kiddo I remember now, memory failure lol. Give our best to Billy, Gordon, Viv, Tony and everyone at Roma Antiqua. Regards, Gary. I've decided that a Thracian might be easier than a retiarius, but still definatly aiming to be a gladiatrix. It was good to see your group! And will do :) I am not...

Re: Dead?

Hi Domitia, Representing a Roman Legionary is both my job and my hobby. I'm a member of Roman Tours Deva Victrix, part of the units gladiator team, (The provocator Priscus) and one of the organizers of the Roman event in Chester. Looking forward to having the VII Claudia back in Deva as they have b...

Re: Dead?

Hey... I do Roman stuff - in fact my business is making kit for Prehistoric and Roman re-enactors... I was a Comitatus member until last year... and I now do some stuff now and again with the Invicti, a group who supports other events such as Chester Roman festival, Murton Park Museum, Maryport, Ry...

Re: Dead?

I'd say a website is a must these days, for both new blood and events. What does your group respresent, is it solely gladiatorial? I agree. Even if membership is still dealt with mostly through actually meeting up with the group, a website to put images onto from different events and to state what ...

Re: Dead?

Hello, I'm in the NE too. Grubby peasant with mule, chickens, sheep. Occasionally spotted at Roman forts. Haven't had any RB bookings lately but Billy will know who I am. I could tell him you said hi perhaps? I think Roma Antiva should have a website, but half of the group are for it while half of ...

Re: Dead?

Hello, i reenact as a 1st century Auxillary and have been doing it on and off for about 20 years. Whilst this is a cracking forum the best place to chat to Roman types is Roman army talk. Hi, I'm on there (Domitia), but to be fair, most of the posters seem far more... intimidating, I guess is the w...

Not my period though.
Hmm. Roma Antiqua.. Is that the group with Ian Fenwick? Havn't seen him for years. Wonder how he is.

*waves back*
Ian Fenwick doesn't ring a bell to me. Does Billy, Gordan, Fronto or Pat sound familiar?

Dead?

Or are there more re-enactors (Roman, Celt etc) on this board? *prods around* If so! Let's get some relevant chitter-chatter going. What group are you in? How long have you been re-enacting? What's your favourite part of re-enacting the time period you do? Least favourite? Favourite piece of kit? Wo...
