Re: plantagenet medieval society

This may not be any help to you, but I just want to say, they came to Raglan Castle a few months ago and they were amazing. Such a friendly bunch of people, we had so much positive feedback about them. Their displays for the public were excellent and they were so obliging when people asked them ques...

Good idea! I'm just watching that old series, By the Sword divided from the 80's and noticed a lot of pearls. Great suggestion!

Jewellery for 17th century ladies?

Hi everyone, I have been thinking about the type of jewellery ladies wore in the 1640's. I'm playing a 1646 lady of a Royalist Castle at the end of August and wondered if there was somewhere I could pick up costume jewellery reminiscent of the 17th century. I remember seeing a website a while ago th...

Wow, I'm no expert, but even to my untrained eye that looks amazing. I'm off to look at that link, see if there's anything I fancy buying. :D

Re: Raglan Medieval Festival 13th & 14th August

Camping now available, I am very pleased to say! It is fine for you to sleep in your trading tents, or if you have modern tents they can be pitched at the back of the castle once the visitors have gone home on the Friday night and put back down once the Castle reopens at 9.30 the next morning. I wil...

Re: Raglan Medieval Festival 13th & 14th August

Thanks Teagirl  We're hopefully going to learn a lot this year, being we're green beanies. I was able to get HQ to agree to a £10 pitch fee as we can't offer anything but a piece of grass inside the castle and a warm welcome this year. I just hope a few traders come and give it a go. Advice...

Re: Raglan Medieval Festival 13th & 14th August

Sorry, no camping provisions as the Knights of Longshanks are taking over the castle that weekend. So this event is best suited to local traders or those who want to just come for one day. :(

Re: New trader looking for shows

Hi there, I will email your friend. He looks like just the type of trader that would fit in to our Medieval Festival at Raglan Castle this coming August. We've never allowed traders into an event before, but we are giving it a go this year. We have the Knights of Longshanks with us on 13th & 14t...
