We researched Stowe's wartime history and used this as the basis for the event.
Over the years we managed to organise special guests including Marguerite Patten OBE and author Mike Brown. We also sourced wartime artefacts and an original German Enigma code machine. We designed a historical wartime trail around the gardens featuring some of the finest UK re-enactment groups.
As well as generating sizeable visitor number increases, the events received press and T.V. coverage which also raised the profile of Stowe Landscape Gardens. The event scored highly in the National Trust customer feed back surveys.
